Remembering Jace: A Celebration of Life

Our hearts are broken even having to write this, and no words can properly convey who Jace was and what he means to us. Jace Tanner Dunn lost his life way too soon in the early morning of August 5th in an unexpected accident. Jace was a son, brother, friend, uncle, a talented artist, and the best dog dad. To know and love Jace was a privilege that those close to him will never forget. His love and loyalty were unwavering; he truly showed up for those around him. No matter the time or place, Jace would be there.

Jace was born a fighter and continued to fight. Even through his own darkness, he still chose to be a light for others. Maybe because he had seen the darkness, experienced it, and chose not to let it consume him. He truly was an enigma, somebody whose soul and heart were too big for this world. He loved and cared in a passionate and deep way that made you feel so blessed to know you were one of the people he loved. He always showed up and fought for the ones he cared for and loved, a fierce protector of any who had the privilege to be loved by him. If he loved you, you had somebody who would go to battle for you, and his love was always felt. Jace was an avid lover of the outdoors and felt a connection to things bigger than him, things that many could never understand.

Your light, your heart, your soul were too big for this world. We always knew you were destined for something big, but sadly that journey and destiny have taken you away from us.

We have all lost a piece of ourselves, and the world lost one of its brightest beings.

We are raising funds to help cover costs of a Celebration of Life for Jace. In addition to this, funds will be used to help with flight costs for out-of-town close family and cover missed wages while we grieve this horrible loss. We want to show up for Jace just as he did for all of us.

Our family wants to thank all of those who have reached out with kind words and prayers, offered help, sent photos, and beyond all, those who loved Jace.
