Remembering Isla Rose

On Saturday, August 6th, 2022, my sister experienced the most unimaginable situation that no parent should ever have to go through. My sister Kristen awoke to find her baby girl, Isla Rose unresponsive. I will spare you the specifics out of respect for her parents and our family, but Isla passed away just after making four months old.

On March 31, 2022, my big sister, Kristen and her fiancé Scott (aka Pork Chop) welcomed to the world their beautiful baby girl, Isla Rose Zeringue. She was perfect. We have spent months loving, spoiling, teaching, and watching my godchild, Isla Rose grow into an energetic, fiery baby girl.

Anyone that has ever seen her knows that!

To say the last year has been difficult for my sister is an understatement. She has been a stay at home mom for her toddler son, Elijah Scott, and two daughters, Alanna Jolie, and newborn Isla Rose. She wasn’t able to work because Isla was too young for daycare and had just recently started her job hunt again. She has been fighting to keep their family home out of foreclosure and if you know the family, then you know she’s been doing this without the help of her fiancé/father of Elijah and Isla, Scott, who is out of state and also unable to work due to other unforeseen circumstances. Scott only met his daughter once. He would have done anything in the world to have been there at her birth, the few short months she was with us, and when we finally put her to rest.

I am asking for donations to help recoup funeral costs (which was the funds being used to have their home mortgage reinstated). Anything after funeral costs will be used to help Kristen manage expenses so she may fully grieve this tragic loss.
