Remembering Iris: A Heartfelt Tribute

It is with profound sadness and a deep sense of loss that I share with you the passing of my beloved mother Iris Arlene O’Daniel on January 31, 2025. Iris was an extraordinary woman, a cherished mother, grandmother, great grandmother and friend to countless individuals who were touched by her boundless love, compassion and generosity.

Mom had a heart of gold and dedicated 28 years of her life working for Pizza Hut, inspiring everyone around her with her kindness, warmth and infectious smile. Her unwavering enthusiasm and love for people drew her to Thursday night market and the senior dances, where she became a familiar face and a beacon of joy for many years. Her passing leaves an unfillable void in the lives of all who knew her.

As we navigate the darkest moments of our grief, I am faced with the daunting task of arranging a final farewell that honors Mom’s remarkable life and legacy. I am committed to giving her the most dignified and heartfelt sendoff possible, but the financial burden of funeral expenses is overwhelming for our family during this already challenging time.

I am reaching out to our community for support and guidance as we celebrate Iris’s life and honor her memory.
