On 2/20/2020 an angel gained her wings too soon. Irie Suarez was like any other 10 year old, excited to be able to ride her bike to her new school. Her family had moved to San Antonio late last year for new opportunities. She had only been attending Kallison Elementary for a couple weeks. Tragically, her story was cut short when she lost control of her bike riding to school and was struck by an oncoming vehicle.
Her family and her commuity are grieving. Donations are being requested on behalf of the family to provide support while they are out of work grieving and to help cover memorial and funeral services.
The Kallison Elementary PTA is also collecting gift cards for the family for any who wish to donate that way.
