Remembering Houa Vang: A Tribute to our beloved Mother

Dearest Family and Friends,

It is often easy to offer financial assistance to others, regardless of the amount, but it is a different experience to find oneself in a position of needing help from the community. My sister and I created this Gofundme knowing that we have such supportive family and friends. All donations will be appreciated and will go towards the cost of our beloved mother, Houa Moua Vang's funeral expenses.

Houa was a cherished church member at Seven Stones Alliance Church and a beloved family member throughout the Hmong Community. Her kindness and generosity knew no bounds. She gave without receiving anything in return. Her dedication to her hard work and her passion for helping others defined her legacy. She will be remembered for her kind heart, strength, resilience, and unwavering love for her family and friends.

Sadly, in June 1998 our beloved mother suffered from a stroke that affected her physical health especially the right side of the body. This was led by diabetes and high blood pressure. Life as you know it became a challenge and it made it difficult for her to perform daily tasks and activities.

On February 25, 2025 our beloved mother passed away peacefully and unexpectedly, surrounded by her loving family in Cottage Grove, Minnesota. Our beloved mother, Houa Moua Vang will be deeply missed by all who knew her. Her memory will live on in the hearts of her loved ones and the countless lives she touched.

We understand that times are tough for everyone, but any contribution, big or small will help alleviate the financial burden for us. Your generosity is greatly appreciated and all donations will go directly to Houa's expenses. We thank you for taking your time to read our story of our beloved mother.

A celebration of Houa's life will be held at the Saint Paul Funeral Home, located at 199 Plato Blvd, St. Paul, MN 55107 on May 10, 2025 from 9:00am to 9:00pm. Family and friends are invited to attend and share their memories and stories of Houa Moua Vang.
