Remembering Gordy Wilson
Donation protected
Gordy Wilson unexpectedly passed away from a heart attack at the age of 54 while working near Merritt, B.C., on January 19th.
Gordy was born in Petrolia, Ontario, and spent most of his school years in Invermere, B.C. He was a very passionate person who loved his family dearly. “He loved those he loved hard!” His loss has created a massive emotional and financial burden on his wife Karla and three daughters Janelle, Aileen, and Wrya.
Gordy’s family meant the world to him and he would have been devastated to see Karla, Janelle, Aileen, and Wrya be left in such a challenging position. All of his friends and family are struggling to cope with his loss as well, but his direct family is being hit particularly hard as it was so unexpected.
Karla has just begun earning her Masters in counselling, while Janelle and Aileen are both attending post-secondary institutions. Wrya is just four years old and will begin kindergarten this fall.
Hello, my name is Lori and I’m the sister-in-law of Gordy Wilson. For his family, this is an unbearable time which we hope to help ease the financial burden that accompanies Gordy’s passing. All funds donated would be used to cover expenses for the family, so they don’t have to be constantly worried about money while mourning Gordy.
It would mean the world to everyone in Gordy’s life to see the community come together to support his family during such a challenging time. Gordy will be greatly missed.
