Remembering Gilberto: A Legacy of Love

Gilberto Manuel Armenta, born in Sioux City on July 4th, 2001, passed away June 17, 2024. Gilberto is survived by his parents Alberto and Maria Silvia Armenta, siblings Ernesto Soto, Heriberto, Delia, Adrian, Alina, and Silvia Armenta, as well as Brenda and David McPeek, Alberto and Lucero Armenta. Gilberto is predeceased by grandfather Rafael Robles, grandmother Delia Castro, brother Cristian Vargas, and sister Alina Guadalupe Armenta. Gilberto has eight nephews and five nieces who he loved very much.

Gilberto was raised in Hawarden and graduated from West Sioux. After high school, Gilberto worked construction alongside his brother Alberto Jr. Gilberto enjoyed working construction, as he was very crafty himself. He learned watching his father fix things around the house and work on cars.

Hobbies for Gilberto were not limited. Gilberto enjoyed many things including long boarding, listening to music, writing music, and hanging out with his family and close friends. He had a great sense of humor, he was always telling everyone jokes and going out of his way to cheer you up. He will be missed by all who knew him but will forever be remembered.
