Remembering Geraldine Villacin

On January 16th, my family and I had to say goodbye to my mother, Geraldine Villacin, as she had lost her battle with COVID. She was a kind soul that always brightened up any room she entered. She made me laugh with her witty jokes and always cared for me in her own ways. She was my best friend and the person I went to for solitude and peace.

I look at my phone expecting her to call me to ask me what I'm doing and when I will see her next. I pick up my phone not realizing I'm dialing her number when I have a question to ask. I can't make those calls anymore or hear her chastise me or just talk to me. I miss her dearly and I know many others miss her as well. She was one of the best people I knew and I am so grateful to have been able to call her my mom. Despite all the pain and grief I have felt since losing her, life still goes on and I have to stay strong and live a long life before I see her again.

I decided to open this fundraiser as a means for people to honor her memory. All funds collected will go to my mother's memorial and will also be helping my father and I pay bills that we had to ignore with everything going on. We appreciate the time you have taken to read this and we are grateful for anything and everything. Please continue to stay safe and healthy everyone.
