Remembering Frank Salas

Hi, my name is Kathryn (Frank's daughter).

On May 12, Frank Salas succumbed to a medical emergency while on duty at San Quentin Prison. He unfortunately did not make it.

Officer Salas, 68, had served in the California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation since 1995. He spent his 29 years at the San Quentin Rehabilitation Center. Before San Quentin, Frank served in the Marine Corp for 13 years. He is survived by his wife Tracey and three children Kathryn, Joseph, and Daniel.

Frank left us too soon, but his legacy lives on. He leaves us the strength to face challenges, the grit to persevere, and the permission to live life to the fullest.
