Fidel Munoz Cortez worked for Foothill properties which, after numerous acquisitions, became Griffin Dewatering, LLC.
Fidel worked in the pump shop as a pump repair technician for over 30 years, starting with Foothill and continuing his work for Griffin Dewatering.
Fidel had a very extensive knowledge of a variety of pumps, as he was responsible for rebuilding most submersible pumps that came through the California office along with training most of the technicians that joined the team during his time with Griffin.
“He was always the go-to guy if you had any problems with any electric pump or related electrical components. He was a quiet man who kept to himself and just got things done. He was extraordinarily dependable. His work ethic was amazing. He was always extremely helpful at solving the problems that seem to come about constantly in the world of dewatering. His passing left a huge hole in our world.”
Outside of work he was a physically active guy, playing racquetball and working out. His coworkers always commented, that of all of them, Fidel was the healthiest and in the of best shape. His family was very important in his life as He strived to be a good role model for his children and grandchildren. What little he did talk about his personal life; the conversations were usually about his grandkids.
