Remembering Faye: A Loving Tribute

Hi family and friends, this is Lauren. I am organizing this GoFundMe on behalf of my Grandmother Faye Smith, who just passed away and her son Lamarr Smith. Last month my grandma took a turn for the worst after having emergency surgery. She suffered aspiration while being sedated. Due to her age and weakened state, she never fully recovered and was put on life support. After a few weeks it appeared that her body was trying to heal itself. However, shortly after being transferred to a rehab facility she was found unresponsive during the bed check. This was so unexpected as we were under the impression that she was slowly but surely making progress. If you knew Faye, you know she was truly one of a kind. The best dressed and most feisty woman with flare. She loved playing Bid Whist and could make a mean pork shoulder.... She took pride in her dress and grooming and loved serving her God Jehovah. Unfortunately, Grandma had no insurance. Your help, however big or small would be greatly appreciated so that we can lay her to rest and handle all other expenses with dignity,love,and care.
