It is with heavy hearts that we share the passing of Eric Galvez Castillo, who passed away on August 8, 2025, at the young age of 29, after a courageous 19-year battle with Lupus. Lupus ultimately caused Eric’s kidneys to fail putting him on dialysis. This then caused a serious of health problems that included strokes and seizures.

On Christmas day in 2023 Eric had a severe stroke caused by a brain aneurysm leaving him paralyzed and hospitalized for 6 months. He made a come back and continued to endure dialysis and physical therapy 3 days a week.

Eric was scheduled for kidney transplant clearance on the day of his passing when his family believed it would be the day that his fight with Lupus and all his health issues would be over. Eric was a bright and youthful soul, known for his infectious smile and unwavering spirit but as strong as he was, his heart could no longer keep up.

Throughout his long fight, Eric showed incredible strength and determination. Despite the challenges Lupus presented, he lived each day to the fullest, cherishing moments with family and friends. His positive attitude and zest for life inspired all who knew him.

Es con el corazón partido que compartimos el fallecimiento de Eric Gálvez Castillo, quien falleció el 8 de agosto de 2025, a la temprana edad de 29 años, después de perder su batalla de 19 años contra el Lupus. El lupus finalmente hizo que los riñones de Eric fallaran poniéndolo en diálisis. Esto causó un serio problema de salud que incluía accidentes cerebrovasculares y convulsiones.

El día de Navidad de 2023, Eric tuvo un aneurisma cerebral que lo dejó paralizado y hospitalizado durante 6 meses. Hizo un regreso y continuó soportando diálisis y fisioterapia 3 días a la semana.

Eric estaba programado para la autorización de trasplante de riñón el día de su fallecimiento cuando su familia creía que sería el día en que su batalla con el Lupus y problemas de salud terminaría. Eric era un alma brillante y juvenil, conocida por su sonrisa contagiosa y su espíritu inquebrantable, pero por muy fuerte que fuera, su corazón ya no podía mantenerse firme.
