Remembering Emily's Bright Spirit

Andrea is a dear friend of mine, who unexpectedly lost her sweet, precious daughter recently. My name is Meghan Wilt, Andrea and I have shared a friendship for almost 30 years now. I'm so sorry she is going through this and my heart breaks for her.

From Emily's obituary "Emily Rose Fonsemorti passed away peacefully on 12/21/24 just two days short of her 21st birthday. She battled holoprosencephaly for the entire duration of her tragically short life and will be dearly remembered by her loved ones. She taught you more in a brief exchange at a kitchen table by simply existing than a tenured professor could teach you in a semester. About patience. And how to be present. And how to adapt. And how to be happy."

Everyone who knew Em, will tell you her smile and her laugh were infectious and her presence would light up a room. She was an inspiration to everyone who had the privilege of knowing her. She touched the hearts of so many and will be missed dearly.

I can't even begin to imagine the heartbreak that Andrea is feeling right now. No mother should ever have to experience the pain and suffering of losing a child.

As she navigates through this difficult time, I am humbly asking that we all come together for Andrea to help with any financial needs she may be experiencing, while grieving the loss of her daughter. I know she will appreciate any donation, big or small ♥️
