My name is Laurie Andre. My sister’s name was Elisha Andre and Ruth Gedeon was a very good childhood friend of ours. On December 4th, seven of us gathered as a group for a friend’s birthday celebration in the Poconos in PA. We prayed and made it safely to our destination from Brooklyn to Pennsylvania. We had only dropped our things off and were on our way to get some food to eat, not knowing this would be the last time we’d all be together. Around 6:30 PM, a drunk driver crashed into the car my sister Elisha drove, killing her at the scene. Ruth sustained multiple traumatic injuries from the accident, which resulted in her death. These were two amazing women who had their entire lives ahead of them. Please if you knew them, were touched by them in any way, or simply wish to help the grieving families, send what you can. We appreciate anything you can give. They didn’t deserve to leave the Earth this way, but I know God has them both in His arms.
