Towards the end of August 2025, we lost someone truly unforgettable – Edna.

Edna was the heart and soul of every room she entered. Bubbly, warm, and full of life, she had a laugh that could lift even the darkest day and a spirit that made everyone feel instantly at ease. Whether you were having a good day or a tough one, Edna had a way of making it better—sometimes with a kind word, sometimes with a cheeky joke but always with her infectious smile.

Her sudden passing has left a huge hole in all of our hearts. But we want to remember her not with sadness, but with the joy she brought to so many lives.

Edna, a woman whose love, guidance, and kindness shaped my life in more ways than words can express. She wasn’t just a friend, Edna was like a mother to me. Through the years, Edna stood by my side with unwavering love and support. She offered me wisdom when I was lost, comfort when I was hurting, and unconditional love that only a true mother could give. Her presence in my life was a blessing — one I will carry with me always.

In her honour, we are raising money for Mind, a charity that supports mental health and wellbeing—something Edna cared about deeply. We’re also hoping to place a plaque in the Cavell Healthcare office, a lasting tribute to the sunshine she brought into the workplace every single day.

This is our way of keeping her memory alive—not only through words, but through action and support for others, just as she always did.
