On the morning of May 2, 2025, Dr. Jesse Wetter tragically passed away. He leaves behind grieving family including his beloved wife Carrie and his precious baby daughter, Charlotte, who is currently hospitalized. He also leaves a gaping hole in our medical community, where he will be dearly missed.
Dr. Wetter was a beloved faculty member of the Kadlec Family Medicine Residency, and touched many lives during his time in residency and his too-short time as an attending. He made friends with everyone he met, and was a constant source of small gifts, treats, and pranks to those he loved. He loved being a physician. He loved the friendships that he made and the comradery with his colleagues. He loved the back-and-forth banter, the inside jokes, and caring for people. He was imperfect, unbelievably stubborn, incomprehensibly witty, and fiercely loyal. He was an expert at networking and was committed to improving the residency and Kadlec. He was an inexhaustible advocate for each resident and each patient, and was an incredible example of what it means to be a lifelong learner. Personally and professionally, everything was better with Wetter. He will be dearly missed by all who knew him and many others who he never knew he touched.
Carrie celebrated her first Mother's Day this year without her husband and with her baby hospitalized. She is also now without the income from her husband's job, which they were relying on especially during this time with their first child. Please donate generously to honor Dr. Wetter's memory and to be a source of strength for his family during this devastating time.
