Remembering Don Hartmann

My name is Kendra Hartmann, daughter of Don & Charmaine Hartmann.

I am starting this Go Fund Me account for my Mom who has suffered from brain tumors since she was 10 years old. She has been unable to work since she was 21 years old, and she just celebrated her 69th birthday.

My big brother is autistic and has never been able to work. He has lived at home his entire life, being taken care of by our Mom and Dad.

On Aug. 27, 2021 in Mohave Valley, AZ my dad passed out in his home.

He was rushed to Valley View Medical Center in Fort Mohave, AZ. He was immediately flown to Abrazo Arizona Heart Hospital in Phoenix, AZ where he was diagnosed and treated for Covid19 and Pneumonia.

He remained in the ICU in Phoenix for the next two weeks. His condition progressively continued to get better, looking like he would be getting out of the ICU soon. Late in the night of Sept. 10, 2021 his symptoms took a turn for the worst.

At the age of 66, Don Hartmann passed away early in the morning on September 11, 2021 due to complications from Covid & Pneumonia.

He was a caring, thoughtful, loving, hardworking father, and husband. This year would have been my mother and father’s 40th Anniversary! He worked 2 full time jobs everyday for over 35 years to take care of the family, including my mom's medical bills, mortgage, monthly bills & groceries. All of the family’s expenses were paid for through my father’s income. He worked hard everyday of his life taking care of others. Through all of the years that my dad worked at the Golden Nugget Casino, he would work every Christmas day so that his team could enjoy Christmas off with their families.

His second job was his passion, owning his business as a contractor working on air conditioning units, heating & refrigeration. With the extreme Arizona heat, my father enjoyed helping others by bringing them cool temperatures to their homes and businesses. He loved what he did and had fun working. He hired friends as employees, to help give them good jobs and a stable income in life. He even went as far as offering his best friend a position as his business partner. My father was a pillar to the community and to our family.

Since my dad’s passing the business has now been shut down. Unfortunately, with his untimely death, my father passed without being able to leave any form of life insurance to my mom. With his income no longer supporting my mom & my brother they now need assistance with their finances: mortgage, medical bills, funeral expenses, monthly bills & groceries.
