Help Our Family Honor the Life of DeMarcus Gibson Beard.

Yesterday, August 29th 2026, our family experienced an unimaginable loss. Our beloved DeMarcus, born November 4th, 1998, just 27 years old, was tragically taken from us in an act of violence.

DeMarcus was so much more than the circumstances of his passing. He was a son, brother, grandson, a father, a nephew, a family member, and a friend who was deeply loved by so many. His life mattered, and the impact he had on the people around him will never be forgotten.

There are no words that can adequately express the pain of losing someone so young and so suddenly. Our family and community is trying to navigate the overwhelming grief that comes with losing DeMarcus while also facing the unexpected financial burden that follows such a devastating loss.

We are asking for help to assist with funeral and burial expenses, memorial costs, and other immediate expenses for his family as we work to give DeMarcus the farewell he deserves.

Any amount, no matter how small, would mean so much to our family. If you are unable to donate, sharing this fundraiser, keeping our family in your thoughts and prayers, or simply helping us remember DeMarcus is just as meaningful.

DeMarcus was loved. He was someone’s son, someone’s dad, someone’s nephew, and someone’s friend. He was family. He was ours. And his life should be remembered for the love he gave, not the violence that took him from us.

DeMarcus was my nephew, and his mother, Candi Gibson, is the intended beneficiary of this fundraiser. I am helping manage the fundraiser on behalf of Candi and our family while they navigate this devastating loss.

All funds raised will go directly to Candi Gibson, DeMarcus’s mother. She will use the funds to help cover funeral and memorial expenses and other immediate financial needs resulting from DeMarcus’s passing.

I am not fundraising for my own personal benefit. My role is to help organize and manage the fundraiser for Candi during this difficult time, and the funds will be provided directly to her for her use on behalf of DeMarcus and the family.
