Remembering Debbie Golas & Easing the Road Ahead for Her Fam

If you ever met Debbie Golas, even once, there’s a good chance she made you laugh, made you feel seen, or made you feel like family.

She had a fierce heart, a sharp sense of humor, and a gift for making people feel welcome and cared for. She was known as “Momma Deb” to more people than we can count. Now, we are asking for help to celebrate her life and support the process of saying goodbye with care and love.

Debbie passed away peacefully on June 8. Her final months involved extended hospital stays, multiple procedures, and several returns to the ICU. She faced each challenge with incredible strength and grace. She was surrounded by the people who loved her throughout that time. Her sister Jane and her partner Dave live nearby in Florida and were by her side consistently, and assisted Debbie at home in between hospital stays. Her sons, Marc and Jeff, traveled from Boston and Louisiana multiple times to help care for her and spend time with her during these difficult weeks.

We are raising funds to help with the many expenses that come with end-of-life care. This includes:

Medical bills from her hospital stays
Legal fees for estate and probate arrangements
Travel costs for family members who made multiple trips to be with her.

We are also planning a celebration of life to honor her in the way she deserves. The event will be filled with memories, laughter, and connection. Details about the gathering will be shared soon.
