On July 30, our dear friend David Washbourn passed away tragically, leaving behind his loving wife Kristi, and his two children. The loss has been sudden, heartbreaking, and life-altering.

David was the kind of person who made a lasting impression on everyone he met. As a devoted husband to Kristi and a loving father to Jacob and Juli, he was the center of his family's world. David was outgoing, bright, and always ready to lend a hand or offer support to anyone in need. He had a gift for conversation and a way of making people feel seen and valued, no matter the situation.

His sudden passing has left his family devastated, but they are staying strong and honoring his memory in ways that would make him proud. David was not only a guiding light for his own family, but also a father figure to many, including myself. He set the perfect example of what it means to be dependable, compassionate, and selfless.

As his family navigates this unimaginable grief, we’re coming together to help ease one burden they shouldn’t have to carry alone: the cost of saying goodbye.

We are raising $6,000 to help cover funeral expenses. Any additional funds will be donated, as per his family’s wishes, to Habitat for Humanity—an organization David believed in and supported.

This is a chance to honor his life not just with words, but with action. To support his family. To honor his legacy of giving back to others. And to remind them they are not alone.
