Last week we lost a dear friend and co-worker at BDHS. Dave Greth was an icon at the school. There is not a soul who did not know who he was, did not spend time shooting the breeze with him, and did not know that they had to fill out a "work order" in order to get IT help.

I had the honor of teaching his only daughter, Stephanie, for 3 of her 4 years of English at BDHS. Because of the bond Steph and I had, Dave labeled me "other mother Obere." He would always swing by my room to keep me updated on how Steph was doing in college, and when she was offered her first job as a high school counselor. I am going to miss these moments we shared watching Stephanie grow up into an amazing young woman.
