On 31st December, Dason Dottin (Dots) sadly passed away unexpectedly. We and the world have inconsolably lost one of the greats! Dason was a devoted husband, loving father, dutiful son, a caring brother, supportive family member and loyal friend. He was a beautiful mix of characteristics which is what made him so unique - a joker, a big softie, spiritual, determined, loving, kind, generous and loyal.

There has been such an outpouring of affection and requests to support that it felt best to set up this Go Fund Me.

Dason was a ‘larger than life’ character. He always had an entertaining story to tell; he would be there for you at a drop of a hat, if you needed any help and was so full of love. As a child, he would make friends wherever he went and was known for his love of getting involved in any kind of ‘adventure’. Not much changed as he got older, and Dason loved nothing more than spending time with his friends and family. Last year, Dason managed to spend over 10 months with his parents in Barbados - this precious time meant a lot to him.

A colossally dedicated Spurs fan, a Reiki master and ‘brother’ to many. So many lives have been touched by this gentle giant. Dason’s love for his wife and son was deep, wide and never-ending - everyone knew it. He would talk about them with pride wherever he went... Sam and Ruben are now having to adjust to a life without Dason; rethink all the plans they had made, and begin to live their lives with a void that words only fail to describe.

Dason’s family would like to thank everyone for their incredible support. It has meant a great deal to them. The messages, calls, acts of kindness and consideration have helped them through this tough time. Dason would be so proud of how those closest to him have responded to this tragic circumstance.

The ripples of this shocking loss are felt by his family and friends, far and wide across the globe, who are in mourning. We recognise that many of our traditional ways of providing support; at a time of a bereavement are currently limited due to the global pandemic. As such, with permission, this page has been created to be a convenient way for people to express their condolences and create a legacy for Sam and Ruben in Dason’s name.

Due to Covid, and its current variants, the family is planning a smaller farewell to keep people safe. This will be hard as Dason was known and loved by so many. They are aiming to hold a memorial for Dason in the future, where loved ones can come together to celebrate Dason’s life.

Dason would say that his religion was ‘love’ and we think this would be indisputable!
