Remembering Danny, Supporting Abigail

Dearest Family, Friends, Colleagues and Acquaintances –

It is with great sorrow that I am writing to inform you of the sudden passing of my husband, best friend and confidant, Daniel Gross or, as you know him, Danny.

This loss for Abigail and I was sudden, and we are heartbroken by the great hole that now fills the lively and loving space he occupied. Danny was our rock – always working to support our family and our dreams. He loved the great outdoors, so much so that he opened a successful business, National Park Geek, to celebrate others who appreciated nature and, to help conserve our planet. For all sales his company made, a percentage of profits was donated to organizations focused on preserving our National Parks.

But Danny’s greatest accomplishment to date was being a father to our gorgeous and talented daughter, Abigail. Simply put, she was his pride and joy. He would light up as soon as she walked in the room – she inspired him to make our world a better place so she would have a hopeful and meaningful future. She was truly his ray of sunshine and him her sun.

In lieu of flowers, we’d greatly appreciate if any contributions in Danny’s memory be made towards Abigail’s future higher education as he’d want more than anything to see her thrive.
