In Loving Memory of My Stepdad, Dana

Hi everyone,

My name is Janice Wiseman, and I’m writing this with a heavy heart. Last night, or early this morning, we lost someone incredibly important to our family — my stepdad, Dana.

It’s hard to put into words what he meant to us. He wasn’t just a stepdad — he was truly my dad in every way that counts. He stepped into my life and never once made me feel like I wasn’t his own. He showed up, he supported us, he loved us, and he gave so much of himself without ever asking for anything in return.

His passing was sudden, and we’re all still trying to wrap our heads around the fact that he’s really gone. It doesn’t feel real.

Right now, my family and I are trying to pull together to plan his funeral and cover the unexpected expenses that come with something like this. We want to give him the goodbye he deserves — one that reflects how deeply he was loved and how much he meant to all of us.
