On August 21st, our family suffered an unimaginable loss when my sister, Daisha, took her own life. Writing this is one of the hardest things I’ve ever had to do, but I want to share a little about the beautiful soul we lost.
Daisha was the light in every room she walked into always smiling, always laughing, always lifting up everyone around her even when she was hurting deeply inside. She was the glue to our family, the one who tried her hardest to keep us all together. She loved her two boys more than anything in this world, and she gave her all to the people she cared about.
She was selfless always putting others before herself and she had a gift for making people feel seen, loved, and cared for. She truly was the life of the party, always keeping people laughing and smiling. But while she was there for everyone, not everyone was there for her… and now, heartbreakingly, she is gone.
This loss was so sudden and unexpected, and now our family is faced with the burden of planning her funeral while grieving this heavy pain. We are trying to raise the funds needed by Sunday, August 31st so we can lay her to rest with the love and dignity she deserves. Viewing will be Monday, September 1st 10-12pm for immediate family , 1-7pm for the public . Service would be Tuesday, September 2nd @3pm Here at the Mack and Payne Funeral Home in Athens, GA.
If you are able to donate, no matter the amount, it will mean the world to us. If you cannot give, a simple share of this fundraiser would be so deeply appreciated.
Please, in honor of Daisha, check on your friends and family. Mental health is so important, and we are losing far too many young souls too soon.
Daisha we love you so much, sissy. It hurts beyond words to even write this, but for you, I will do anything. Rest peacefully with Davey and Poppop. Until we meet again Beautiful.
Thank you all for your love, prayers, and support.
