Remembering Coach Kelly – A Father, Coach & Friend

On May 3rd, our community faced an unimaginable tragedy with the untimely passing of Kelly Boyer. He lost his life in a motorcycle accident, leaving behind his cherished son, Easton, along with his beloved stepdaughters, Michaela and Justus, and her daughter, Valari. Kelly was not just a father and stepfather; he was a remarkable individual whose family meant everything to him.

In his professional life, Kelly dedicated over a decade to being a garbage truck driver with Republic Services. Known for his unwavering work ethic, reliability, and genuine kindness, he took immense pride in his role, viewing it as a way to serve and support his community every day.

Beyond his job, Kelly’s true passion shone through in his commitment to youth baseball, where he made a profound difference in the lives of countless children. More than just a coach, he was a mentor who showed up not only to games but also for each person he encountered. Kelly invested his time, energy, and heart into every young athlete, teaching them fundamentals and offering heartfelt encouragement. The impact he made went far beyond the field; he shaped character, fostered confidence, and created treasured memories that will forever resonate with the families and individuals he inspired. His legacy of love and dedication will be deeply missed but always remembered.

Outside of work and coaching, Kelly had a passion for riding motorcycles and loved hitting the road with his friends. It was something that brought him joy, freedom, and connection with those he cared about.

As the family navigaes this unimaginable loss, we’re asking for help to support them to cover the rising costs related to his passing. Funds raised will go toward funeral expenses, immediate support for Easton,and honoring Kelly’s legacy in a meaningful way.
