We are heartbroken to announce the tragic passing of Christopher Jason Righter-Quinn on April 29th, 2025 after a courageous battle with laryngeal cancer at home in Castle Rock, WA. Chris was born April 17, 1974 in Portland, Oregon. Chris was a loving & compassionate father, grandfather, son, and friend whom will be deeply missed.
Our father was a diesel mechanic, who used his outstanding knowledge to pursue his dreams in racing. Anything that had an engine, intrigued him. And anything that had a problem he was determined to fix it. His home away from home was always the racetrack like River City Speedway St Helens, where he would spend years in his #23 modified race car on the dirt track, creating a legacy as our mother, Sara, supported his passion and allowed his children to watch their father put his heart into every race, and the bonds he created with the community and most importantly his family was like no other.
In his last years Chris was moved into the home of Mark Holborn, and his son Hayden which allowed him to get the support and care he needed. No matter how rough the days were he pushed himself even when it felt impossible. Nothing stopped him. He spent his time teaching his son everything he could about cars, making sure his daughters car was safe, growing his bond with his grandson and taking Xavier for a lap in his racecar he built for Hayden. He showed and expressed his love in the way he knew best and we always hold that with us.
Chris is survived by his son, Hayden Quinn, his daughter Tyra Hampton, his grandson, Xavier Thompson, his mother Sharon, his father Ron, his brothers Rob & Aaron, and many nephews & nieces.
He now joins in heaven, his brother Jeff, his nephew Tyler, and his Grandma Righter.

In memory of Chris, we humbly seek assistance in funeral services, plot, and memorial arrangements. Any donation, no matter how small, will be greatly appreciated and will allow us to focus on grieving and remembering our father.
Thank you for taking the time to read just a part of Chris Quinn’s story. As things are arranged we will be notifying those who wish to join us for the Celebration of Life, where we all can share our fondest memories.
