My sister and I heard our dad say he wants a bench at the fairgrounds someday. Anyone who knew our dad can tell you fair week was his favorite. He took his week vacation every year for a while, just to work at the booth for the plant. He told us a story about helping his dad plant trees out there a long time ago when he was a kid. Our traditional breakfast and tractor pictures on Tuesday mornings have happened for many, many years. Everyone can still say hi to Chris, Stretch, Mr. Coleman, whatever name you used for him, at the Boone County Fair.
