Remembering Cass

This will probably be the hardest thing I have ever had to put into words….
On August 29th my sister Cass went in for routine gallbladder surgery, during the operation she went into cardiac arrest twice. They were able to get her heart beating again, but after surgery she would not wake up. After 6 days of extensive testing, MRI, EEG and several medical opinions they have concluded that Cass has irreparable brain damage from Cerebral Hypoxia (lack of oxygen to the brain). She will never wake up and will continue to be in a vegetative state indefinitely. We are currently working with Hospice to bring her home for her final days.
Cass is only 34 and is leaving behind not only her husband George, but a 13 year old daughter as well. We are heartbroken, angry and devastated. We have set this up for her to cover any expenses in her final days of care and to make plans for her final resting place. This was completely unexpected, I never thought I would have to bury my little sister. Please hold your families close, and cherish every moment you have with them.

Info: My name is Laura and I am the sister of Cass Lansberry. I made this go fund me to support my brother in law (George L.) and mother (Angela I.) with the funeral fees associated with burying my sister.
