Remembering Camryn Morris: OSU Forest Bench

Donation protected
*** 7/13/2025 Update: Thank you for helping raise over $7k in memory of Camryn. We met with the College of Forestry in May and were able to decide on a location for the bench on a trail near the Forestry Club Cabin and Peavy Arboretum. It's planned to be placed in April 2026. After discussing additional donation options, we learned of several other activities that Camryn would have loved to participate in and support. The remaining funds will go to two of these activities which aligned with Camryn's interest in art. One is the Spring Creek Residencies at Shotpouch Cabin. The other is the return of Campus Wild. All OSU students can participate in Campus Wild and should watch for more information coming out in Fall 2025.***

Our beloved daughter, Camryn, passed away tragically on April 5, 2025, shortly after completing the Corvallis half-marathon. As an OSU student, she enjoyed hiking and exploring the McDonald-Dunn OSU Research Forest. It gave her a break from her studies and helped her reconnect with nature. To memorialize her love of nature and OSU, we would like to donate a bench to be placed along one of the OSU Research Forest trails. Please donate to make this a reality. Any funds in excess of the $3000 required for the bench will be donated to other forests or wildlands in Oregon or Washington state.

Camryn had passion for the care and support of animals as well. A separate GoFundMe fundraiser has been set up to support Heartland Humane Shelter & Care, a 501(c)3 not-for-profit organization.
