Remembering Brandon Matheson

UPDATE January 31, 2019.  

We had over 100 people attend Brandon's service yesterday, the family appreciates all the support they received. As of today January 31, 2019 I will be closing the GoFundMe campaign.  If you would like to help financially, please contact Ash directly. Thank you all for your amazing generosity.

Hi there everyone, this is Brandon's dad, Ash. I wanted to reach out and thank everyone who's helped. We're speechless at the amount of support everyone has given. It's amazing to see the outpouring of love and sympathy that we've received. To know Brandon was this well loved is a comfort at this time. He was an amazing son, brother and friend. He will forever be in our hearts and thoughts. And we miss him constantly.

Brandon's service will be held this Wednesday, January 30 at Henderson's Funeral Home in Langley.

The public viewing will be from 12pm until 1pm, then the service will be from 1pm-2pm. There will be a private viewing (for family and close friends) from 11am until 12pm.

Brandon's parents, Ash and Krista would like to thank everyone for the outpouring and love and support. They are shocked at the level of generosity they've received, but it just goes to show how much Brandon touched everyone and how much he was loved.

For those who do not know who I am, I am the HR Director for Hothead Games, where Brandon was employed until his passing. January 12, 2019 was a day that filled everyone’s hearts with much sorrow.  Tragically, Brandon Matheson passed away unexpectedly on this day.  He was only 25 years old.  He is the eldest son of Ash and Krista Matheson.  Our deepest condolences and prayers to Brandon's family. 

Brandon was a great employee for Hothead Games and a fun contributor to our social events.  He was always cheerful and happy to lend a hand.  He will be greatly missed by everyone. Along with Hothead Games, Brandon also worked for Capcom, UFG, Bioware, Ubisoft and Radical. 

To help his family through this extremely difficult time, we are collecting donations to assist with the costs of his funeral.  All money raised will be going to Brandon's family to cover funeral costs. 

Brandon's family will announce service details once those plans have been made. Please stay tuned.
