Remembering Iyobosa Abigail “Bosa” Odiase

Iyobosa Abigail Odiase—affectionately known as Bosa—was the kind of person who left a lasting imprint on every person she encountered.

Her radiant smile, unmistakable laughter, and warm embrace had a way of lighting up any room. Bosa didn’t just enter spaces, she transformed them. To know Bosa was to know joy, zeal, creativity, and compassion all wrapped into one unforgettable soul. She had a unique gift of making everyone feel seen, known, and loved. In Bosa's eyes, you were never a stranger—just a friend she hadn't met yet.

Bosa was a beloved daughter, a loving sister, a loyal friend, a trusted mentor, an inspiring leader, and an influential creative. But above all else, Bosa was a passionate lover of Jesus. Her life was a living testimony, poured out, fully surrendered to Jesus.

In May 2023, Bosa was diagnosed with an aggressive form of breast cancer—Stage 3 triple-negative. But, even in the face of that diagnosis, her faith never wavered. Bosa fought cancer with such grace and strength that many would have never even known what she was going through. She never let the diagnosis define her or dim her light. Even during the most trying times, she remained one of the most thoughtful, faithful, and encouraging people you'd ever meet. In a season when she could have easily stopped running and pouring out, she never did. She remained steadfast, trusted God to heal her, and continued to boldly walk out her faith in Jesus. And, in August 2024, we rejoiced as she was healed and declared cancer-free.

We never imagined that less than a year later, her journey would take an unforeseen turn. On Thursday, July 10, 2025, Bosa unexpectedly went home to be with Jesus, the Lover of her soul. Though we grieve the immense loss of her presence on this side of eternity, we celebrate the legacy she leaves behind: a legacy of unwavering faith, contagious joy, and deep devotion to the Lord.

On behalf of the Odiase family, we are raising funds to assist with Bosa’s funeral arrangements and other unanticipated expenses. We invite you to stand with her family during this challenging time. Please join us in surrounding Rev. Nick, Mrs. Iyobo, Etin, Noren, and Nick with prayer, encouragement, and support as they grieve.

As we mourn the loss of Bosa, we also celebrate the fact that she is now more alive than ever, dancing in the presence of her Savior.
