Remembering Barry: Support for His Family
Donation protected
Hi, I'm Elle and I have had the honor and privilege of being Mrs. Barry Rogers since 1989. Yesterday, Barry was called home to heaven quite suddenly. Words can't express how crushed we are without him. Barry was, to his core, a family man. He spent every single one of his days in service to me and our ten children. His goal in life was to provide a good life for us, and he worked 12 hour nights at Simplex then Lonza Biologics to make that happen. His co workers always thought highly of him and he received many sweet cards from people he trained. Barry always invested into the careers of others, wanting to see them succeed.
Barry had a rough start in life, having been raised in foster care. He left high school and served honorably in the U.S. Air Force. He never forgot his humble roots and those years guided every decision he would make in the future - including adopting our three grandchildren. He said they would never be separated from each other as he was from his siblings, no matter the cost to him.
Barry was and forever will be, remembered for his love. He loved me with all his heart. Barry asked me to marry him 11 days after we met, which was crazy. I was crazy in love with him and said YES to this amazing adventure, this passionate romance. Thirty five years of marriage, ten beautiful children ( and a couple extras we count as family) as well as our granddaughter - who loved that grandpa would always get her a donut - are Barry's legacy. Our marriage and our family are what Barry was always most proud of.
Barry built our dreams with his two hands and his faith in God, and there are no words to express how hard it is to go on without him. The only easing of this endless pain is knowing with complete assurance that Barry is home with Jesus.
In the interim between now and being able to access his life insurance benefits, which will take some time due to legalities - we are asking for your help to insure Barry's final needs are met for funeral arrangements and that the children and I are cared for so we can grieve without stress.
We thank you for being part of our protective circle and ask that you remember Barry for his kindness, humor, generosity, work ethic, faith, and most of all - his LOVE.
