Hi, everyone.

This morning, August 1st, 2025, Ashton Lister was officially pronounced dead after fighting for days in the hospital. Her mother, Debbi Lister, was killed instantly in a horrific act of domestic violence that changed all of our lives forever.

Ashton was my best friend, the other half of my heart, my anchor.

She fought until her very last breath. She held on — long enough for us to say goodbye, and for the world to remember her not as a victim, but as the radiant, resilient soul she truly was.

Debbi was a deeply loving mother. I will always hold her in my heart as the other momma I found one day in the Vegas desert. She was gentle and giving, and she adored Ashton with everything she had. They should still be here. They deserved peace, and time, and more laughter than the world ever gave them.

Now we’re left picking up the pieces — mourning two lives stolen, and trying to create space to grieve with dignity.
