Remembering Arden Day: Memorial Contributions Needed

UPDATE (4/22/2025) - All donations are now going to a 1 day memorial event on Saturday, May 10th - please message us if you'd like more information and or if you would like a refund for your original donation. Current donations will go to Arden's memorial on 5/10 and toward his obituary.

Our beloved Arden Day left this plane and started his voyage to the other shore on March 21st, at 7:27 PM. He had a beautiful death, at home in his yurt with his dear ones at his bedside.

Arden’s community is like him: eccentrics full of love for the natural world.

It is in this spirit that we are organizing a camp out weekend in the country he loved so well. The memorial will be held over the weekend of May 9th - May 11th at Larsen's Meadow at Rancho Alegre. Let us come together, share stories and songs and keep his memory alive.

Our funding goal for the weekend is $2,000 for the facility plus an extra ~$1,000+ for Saturday night catering and Sunday breakfast. All donations are eligible for a tax write off from Los Padres Council BSA. Thank you for your generosity which will continue Arden’s legacy of access for all to the Wilderness.
