Remembering Anita Cordero

Aloha,

My name is Lisa Marie, the daughter of Anita Cordero. The week of May 9, the unexpected happened. My mom went in for surgery to clip a brain aneurysm that had ruptured. She made it through surgery, but had a major stroke not too long after and eventually, she passed.

She was not only a generous and kind mother, but good to those around her. She’s helped people start businesses and get new homes. A woman who had made her way to Hawaii from the Philippines, my mom was soft-spoken, strong, and fearless of any obstacles.

She is deeply missed by her family, friends, and by the community she’s left behind.

Mahalo to all of you for loving my mom and showing kindness to us during this time. It will not be forgotten.
