Remembering Angela, aka She Paints in Pink

On October 13th, one day shy of her 41st birthday, our beloved friend Angela tragically passed away. At that time, she was pursuing her dream of being an artist at a coveted artist residency program in Mexico City, one of the places that inspired her the most.

Some of you may have known her by another name - A.M. Abernathy, She Paints in Pink or Pink. But no matter what you called her or how you knew her, there is no denying that her personality was as colorful and impactful as the art she created. She was an inspiring and beautiful human and a caring friend. Angela had a brilliant mind, a wicked sense of humor, and a creative vision that truly made her one of a kind. She will leave a lasting impression on all of us who knew her.

Due to her sudden death outside of the country, there are many complications and expenses associated with returning Angela's remains to the United States. Your support will help reduce the financial burden on her family, who is working tirelessly with both the Mexican and U.S. embassies to return her remains so she can be put to rest. Donations will help cover the costs of travel, legal, and funeral expenses for Angela.
