Remembering Andy Furr, The "Heart of Grove City"

The Grove City, Ohio community suddenly lost a great man, visionary and Executive Director of the Grove City Town Center, Inc / Heart of Grove City on January 8, 2025. Andy had battled cancer among other health issues but maintained a “larger than life” persona as he led the organization for many years.

Andy organized and ran with his Board of Directors, the many events Grove City has become known for, The Grove City Wine and Arts event, Taco’s and Tequila, Distilled Spirits in the Town Center, The Grove City Christmas Parade and Mistletoe Market, along with the bi-monthly Food Truck Friday nights in the Town Center. Andy was a constant advocate for small businesses in the Grove City Town Center.

A lifelong Grove City resident and avid volunteer, Andrew became the Executive Director in 2012 after serving as Vice President of the organization in 2011. His experience and understanding of the development process lends a vital role to attract new business and support existing business in the Town Center. His organizational skills have brought new events to the Town Center as well as build upon existing events.

Andrew Furr was a wonderful Father and Grandpa to many. He loved his family and his community dearly and held them to the highest regard. In doing so, he would always do anything for them. He really embodied everything it was to be a family man and believed the definition of Grandpa was “Dad without rules”. His wife Mary was the love of his life, signing every card “Always and Forever” and meaning it to his core. His children are blessed to have many fond memories of the time they spent together boating, hunting and other outdoor activities. He will be dearly missed and forever in our hearts.

This Go-Fund-Me is asking for your help to Honor this man. The monies collected will help defray medical bills, funeral costs and other immediate needs of the family.
