Remembering Andrew Deatons Life, Help for his son Aiden
Donation protected
Our dear friend Andrew Deaton passed away on February 14, 2025. I know everyone knew “Andy” as being in top physical condition, so this news comes as a sudden shock to all of us. Andy walked 10 miles of Kailua Beach daily, hit the gym throughout the week, ate a very healthy diet, and the only vice he had in life that I could see was ending the day with some ice cream. Andy was a true artist; his art is masterful, he is a published poet, and a top-ranked, respected tattoo artist who touched so many tattoo artists I can’t count. All of you that knew him or had the honor of working next to him know, as Larry said, Andy didn’t have a bad bone in his body. Loving, caring, genuine, sympathetic, he always gave the best advice and had the best one-liners.
I am starting this GoFundMe to help with his funeral arrangements. It appears there will be a very large gathering, so every little bit counts. If Andy touched your heart or helped you (he’d seriously give the shirt off his back to anyone in need), please help send him off right and show him as he looks down how loved he really is.
The remainder of what is not used for funeral expenses will be passed to his beautiful son, Aiden, who resides with his mother, Allie, over in Maui. I spent a lot of time with Andy and had long discussions with him. His only worry in the world was making sure he provided for his son. He would deposit his paycheck every Friday, keep the bare minimum to survive on Oahu, and the remainder would be sent to his son’s mother. He didn’t have a chance to save because everything left over went to Aiden. Aiden no longer has his father to send money, so again, any little bit counts, and I know Andy would be grateful.
