He was taken from us too soon, Ancil lived with a passion for life that was as strong as it was inspiring. Ancil had an ability to make others feel seen, heard, and valued, his friendship was a gift to all who knew him. Even when faced with recent hardships that might stop some in their tracks, Ancil did not waste a single minute getting back to living his life on his terms as soon as doctors gave him the go-ahead. Unfortunately, that short time proved to be more precious than anyone knew. Let us take what comfort we can in this time remembering that Ancil spent his last days doing exactly what he loved most: being the loving husband and father he was, and giving his heart, soul, and body to bring together his friends and the Maui dirtbike community to create memories that will last forever.

Though we mourn the loss of our friend, we will carry forward his light in our hearts. The world feels a little dimmer and very unfair at the moment, Ancil would want us to keep shining on. His legacy of kindness, adventure, and joy will never fade. Rest in peace, dear friend, you will never be forgotten.
