On February 10, 2021, my nephew, Daniel Alan Louis Mattingly was born by emergency cesarean section, four weeks early, due to a complete placental abruption.
Danny experienced a traumatic birth and needed extensive measures just to keep him alive. Shortly after Danny's birth, he was transferred to Cardinal Glennon Children's Hospital. He received top-notch care in their Neonatal Intensive Care Unit. Despite all the expert medical treatment and nursing care, Danny's condition was so critical that after a four day fight, he passed away in his parent's arms.
Daniel Alan Louis Mattingly is survived by his parents, Michael Mattingly and Stephanie Evans, an energetic big brother Carson, and maternal grandparents Neil and Deb Evans. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Louis and Ruth Mattingly all of Red Bud. He will be truly missed by his parents, big brother, grandparents, aunts, uncles, and cousins.
We truly appreciate any help with the upcoming medical bills, family expenses, and memorial service.
Thank you!
