I am reaching out to share the heartfelt story of Amelia K. Asher, a spicy but oh so brave little girl who touched the lives of everyone around her. Amelia was born on August 28, 2024. She was born prematurely at just 33 weeks and wasn’t expected to make it through her first week of life. But her fight for life was extraordinary. Diagnosed with congenital heart disease, she faced heart failure, chronic respiratory failure, and a lack of oxygen to her brain at birth. Among many other issues.

During her precious time with us, Amelia underwent three heart surgeries. Each time, she showed incredible strength and resilience, recovering from her procedures as expected. However, her journey came with many challenges, including needing ventilation for the last 6 months due to procedures and enduring several bouts of pneumonia. Which greatly weakened her lungs over time.

Recently, her parents reached a heartbreaking point where medication became their last option, but sadly, Amelia little body was too exhausted to continue. It was with heavy hearts that they had to make the difficult decision for her end-of-life comfort care. Amelia passed away on August 1, 2025, leaving an immense void in the hearts of those who loved her.
