Dear family and friends. This is a very difficult time for everyone here at the farm, for those of us who know us and our situation it's easy to understand how long Alan has been suffering from illness. It's been a long road, and myself and Karl have worked round the clock for years now taking care of Alan the best we could. Alan was a wonderful man, and has helped so very many people with just simply having a place to be (the farm) or a place in recovery. I honestly couldn't count how many, but I myself am one of those people. Who will forever be grateful for his kindness and compassion. All he ever wanted was a big happy family and to live out his days in peace, ( and maybe a delicious sandwich). Luckily, that is exactly how it went for him. He died here at home after suffering a major stroke this week, on May the 3rd at about 7 pm.
With the sudden loss of his death we are all reeling and trying to regain composure. I have agreed to do most of the leg work/difficult end of things to save Karl any more pain from losing his best friend. Unfortunately we weren't financially prepared, and are asking for some help from the community to lay Al to rest peacefully. He will be cremated and we will have some kind of remembrance celebration. Thank you family and friends for understanding this difficult time we are in. Any help is appreciated no amount is too small. Please share.
Love, Sophia
