Remembering Abuelita Evelia Casio

It is with saddened hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved abuelita, who went to be with the Lord at the age of 96.

Maria Evelia Casio was born in Juan Aldama, Zacatecas, México in 1927. Forever young at heart, she would have told you she was only 84.

Those who knew her will remember her for her joyful spirit, love of singing and her devoted faith to God. She loved the company of her family, always craved un chocolatito and had a witty sense of humor.

She has gone on to join her parents, brother and her two eldest sons, Julio and Manuel Casas, in Heaven.

Abuelita was under the loving care of her daughter, Yolanda. She did not have life or funeral insurance, however we don’t want that to stop us from celebrating her life. It is what she deserves.

Es con la tristeza más profunda de nuestros corazones que anunciamos el fallecimiento de nuestra querida abuelita, quién paso a mejor vida a la edad de 96 años.

Maria Evelia Casio nació en Juan Aldama, Zacatecas, México en el año 1927. Siempre con un corazón joven, le gustaba decir que solo tenía 84 años.

Los que tuvieron el placer de conocerla la recordarán por su espíritu alegre, su amor a la música y por su gran fe en Dios. Amaba la compañía de su familia, siempre tenía antojo de un chocolatito y tuvo siempre un buen sentido del humor hasta su último día.

Ha ido a reunirse en el Cielo con sus padres, su hermano y sus dos hijos, Julio y Manuel Casas.

Abuelita estuvo bajo el cuidado amoroso de su hija, Yolanda. Ella no tenía aseguranza de vida o funebre, pero no queremos que eso nos impida el poder celebrar su vida. Eso es lo que ella se merece.
