The original target amount for this campaign had been estimated considering only the immediate travel and funeral expenses of the family. However, after re-consulting with the family, we came to know that there are pending financial commitments of Abhishek that need to be addressed in USA, including education loans. To account for these additional expenses, the target amount for the campaign has been increased to $70000. The family likes to express their deepest gratitude and appreciation to each and every one for your overwhelming support.
On 28 Nov 2019, Abhishek Sudhesh, aged 25, s/o Sudhesh Chand and Nandini Sudhesh of Kuvempunagar, Mysuru was shot and killed in San Bernardino, California. He was a graduate student pursuing his MS in Computer Science at the California State University, San Bernardino (CSUSB). He was attacked while he was looking after a motel in his free time on behalf of his friend. The family grieves for him deeply.
Everyone who knew him remembers him as a very sweet and caring person who went out of his way to help others. He had a good academic record at college and his professors and colleagues appreciated him dearly.
He had decided to go abroad to study with the only aim and ambition to help and be there for his family. He worked hard day and night to fulfill this dream. He wanted to fund his younger brother Abhishreshta’s medical education fees apart from being financially available for everyone in his family.
The family is making arrangements to travel to the US and perform Abhishek’s final rites. Friends from around the world are eager to support the family in this time of need. If you wish to show your support financially, please consider contributing to this campaign. The collected funds would go towards the travel, funeral and other related expenses of the family, and any remaining funds would be donated by the family to charitable causes.
This campaign is organized on behalf of Mr. Sudhesh Chand by Srivatsa Bhat who is Abhishek's cousin, and Varun Krishna, a close family friend residing in Los Angeles, USA.
