It is with a sad heart that I share, Aaron (formally Matthew) Wasserott passed away late last week. Aaron was an Automation Network Engineer working from Colorado and joined us via our recent Vercara acquisition. Aaron worked with many in the DNS team who described him as ‘a gifted engineer and developer’.
His family remarked on his great joy of working with the many different people he interacted with throughout his job and his personal passion for woodworking and being in the beautiful mountains of Colorado. Unfortunately, his health was challenging, and he had spent many years suffering from debilitating back and joint pain and subsequent depression. While he tried his hardest to improve his health, he was never able to overcome these difficulties and as such passed away on April 16. His dedication and hard work made a significant impact on everyone he worked with, and he will be dearly missed.
We know Aaron’s colleagues in the DNS team are deeply impacted by his passing, and we encourage you to take the time you need to grieve and support each other during this challenging period. Our Employee Assistance Program (EAP) is available to provide counseling and support services to anyone who may need it. This is a confidential benefit for you and your family members, and we strongly encourage those who may be suffering mentally to avail of the support services available.
