A Light Gone Too Soon - Una Luz Que Se Fue Demasiado Pronto

Hello, name is Yasmin, and I deeply appreciate you reading this. My family and I were blindsided by the loss of my baby brother, Aaron Ibanez. It is with a heavy heart that we ask for your donation for his funeral services. Aaron was just 22 years old when he left us to be in heaven.

Growing up in a Mexican household mental health was not talked about. I just hope this story changes that view because it affects many people and unfortunately my brother was a victim of it. Aaron decided to take his own life as he was struggling with his mental health for some time. It saddens me because he had a whole life ahead of him. I just want to say, “Aaron, I love you and will forever miss you.”

Aaron was kind, funny, loving, hardworking and a sweet little brother. He is the youngest of four children. My brother leaves behind our parents, siblings, and his nephews/nieces.

Hola, mi nombre es Yasmin y te agradezco profundamente que estes leyendo esto. Mi familia y yo quedamos sorprendidos por la pérdida de mi hermanito, Aaron Ibáñez. Con un gran peso en mi corazón les pedimos su donación para sus servicios funerarios. Aarón tenía apenas 22 años cuando nos dejó para estar con Dios.

Crecer en un hogar mexicano no se hablaba de la salud mental. Sólo espero que esta historia cambie esa visión porque afecta a muchas personas y lamentablemente mi hermano fue víctima de ello. Aaron decidió quitarse la vida porque estuvo luchando con su salud mental durante algún tiempo. Me entristece porque tenía toda una vida por delante. Sólo quiero decir: "Aaron, te quiero y siempre te extrañaré".

Aaron era amable, chistoso, dulce, trabajador y un hermanito cariñoso. Es el menor de cuatro hermanos. Mi hermano deja atrás a nuestros padres, hermanos y sus sobrinos/sobrinas.
