Andrea Nery 10/18/76 - 09/16/21, Rest in Peace
It is with much sadness and a heavy heart that I, together with Andrea's beloved family, inform you that Andrea has passed away early Thursday morning September 16, 2021. She is survived by her son, Marcello, her sister, Angela, her niece, Gabby, her beloved mom, Nadir and her many uncles, aunts, cousins and friends. Even if you just met Andrea or if you knew her for years, you knew that she lived her life to the fullest. She loved her family, her friends and also fashion. Andrea always managed to have her hair and nails done and always, always dressed to the nines. She was very devoted to her church and always there for those who needed a helping hand. She loved music, she loved gardening and most of all adored her son, Marcello and niece, Gabby. She was so very proud of the both of them and always beam ear-to-ear when talking about them. Her sister, Angela was her best friend and she knew that she could lean on Angela to help her get through anything.
I am not Andrea's family in the traditional sense but she was my family. She was the Chief Operating Officer of my household, loving caretaker of my children and I was proud to call her my friend. While my kids would always prefer seeing their grandma instead of Andrea (because grandma spoiled them with candy, of course), she would quickly sweep in and without a beat have them acting like mature responsible children... Sometimes, I wouldn't recognize my own well behaved kids. This was all Andrea. I will sorely miss my COO, my kids' warmhearted caretaker and my friend/ my family, Andrea.
There are several people who asked Angela how they can help and she and her family really want to honor Andrea and plan the celebration of life that Andrea deserves. Andrea did not have much in savings. If you are able to and comfortable doing so, Angela and her family would really appreciate any donation, big or small, towards her celebration of life.
