In Memory of Erica Lynn Bowman

My name is Danielle Park and I am raising money in memory of my younger sister, Erica Lynn Bowman (Scheurer). The money raised will go towards a plaque with her name that will be posted in our brand-new library branch. All funds will benefit the Village Square Branch  of the San Jose Public Library system. This particular library is where my sons, Erica’s nephews, Noah and Ethan, will spend all of their time. It brings me so much joy and comfort knowing that we will see her name each time we visit. Additionally, the grand opening of the library is going to be on April 16, 2016 - Erica's birthday. This makes it even more special to our family. She would have turned 29 years old.

While I have already reserved and committed to the donation required for the plaque, it occurred to me that others touched by Erica may also want to contribute and participate in this special gift in her memory. All donations will go towards the balance of the plaque, $2,000. David and I have made an initial donation of $500 to the library.

Words cannot express how much your donations mean to me as it reminds me how many people love and miss her. I think my greatest fear is that Erica will be forgotten. I don't want anyone to forget her and the sweet person that she was. This plaque will ensure her name is seen by generations to come.
