After taking some time to understand the full scope of the recovery process after the Eaton Fire, Jiff and Ed are now ready to accept support.

The fires that ravaged Altadena, CA (zip code 91001) spared their home, but the damage it sustained is significant. While they are safe and their house still stands, it is filled with toxic ash and smoke damage, making it uninhabitable until it’s properly restored. Sadly, their neighborhood and community are irrevocably altered, and recovery will take time.

Jennifer, our sister, (an art director and prop stylist) and Ed (a composer and musician) are both artists who work contract-to-contract, and with the local devastation, it’s unclear when their work will resume. They have been hesitant to ask for help, especially considering the many others who lost everything. After some careful reflection, they’ve agreed to allow us to create a fund to support them as they navigate the coming months.

We are deeply grateful for their safety, but the road ahead will be difficult. Any support you can offer will make a tremendous difference in helping them rebuild their lives.
